In 2016, Double Coin sank money into manufacturing base in Thailand as a way to supply tires for North America and Southeast Asia. The total investment adds up to 300 million dollars (about 1.95 billion yuan). The factory occupies about 30 hectares.
Zhongding Integration, the specialized logistics system integrator, has succeeded in delivering the tire project of Shengtai Group. This time it intends to have another victory. Zhongding and Double Coin (Thailand) came to an agreement about automated three-dimensional warehouse at the end of 2016 by virtue of its own hardware and software strength.
Manufacturing Base of Double Coin (Thailand)
In order to deal with Double Coin’s internal logistics of 1,200,000 sets of radial tires for trucks and buses and 50,000 industrial tires each year, the automated three-dimensional warehouse and conveyor plan 5,200 storage locations to satisfy the demand of automatic conveying and storage ranging from raw materials, milling, steel wire flattening and rolling, molding of rough tires, coating, vulcanization and finished products. Seven dual-location servo-driven stacker cranes are adopted. Each stacker crane is able to weigh 3 tons maximally. 8 sets of truss robots and 14 sets of tracking and grasping robots accomplish the unmanned intelligent manufacturing from rough tires to vulcanization, hence paving the way for the development of Double Coin’s unmanned factory.
